This actually seems like a good idea to me. Better than paying a Best
Buy schlub.
Sent more or less live from CES.

This is cool. I’d buy this
Nice. Another option: just buy a standard bracket at Costco.
Am I the only one who finds these “for dummies” products offensive to the buyer/user?
The package basically says, here’s a TV wall mount and by the way, you’re fucking stupid.
Last year, I saw a “GPS for Dummies” advertised. Little yellow box with unit (can’t remember the manufacturer) and manual inside. Shrug. Seemed a little silly, since most GPS units, I’d imagine, come with pretty user-friendly instructions. If bracket mounting manufacturers aren’t doing the same, their loss, I guess.
There’s a whole range of these products – I think they’ve been available for a while.

Some one needs to make “…for schlubs” books. Schlub is one of the 19 funniest words ever. and they are schlubs — schlub’s in poorly fitting blue shirts and chinos.
#3: Perhaps your self-deprecation unit is faulty?
The “for Dummies” products are aimed towards those that need help with a certain task or skillset, and have the humility to recognize that they may actually be “a fucking idiot” when it comes to such task.
I, for example, am fairly fucking stupid when it comes to any sort of math above basic algebra. I can recognize my shortcomings and have a sense of humor about it.
One could even argue that by buying one of these products, it’s actually YOU calling YOURSELF a dummy, and is therefore no cause for offense.
Or you could buy a mount that is easy to hang (from Chief or Peerless) and read the instructions.
