The Royal Mail’s latest line of stamps celebrating “classic British design” are just delightfully, gorgeously mundane. Some of the entries are so well designed that it’s easy to forget they were designed at all. Absolutely loving them.

No Dualit?
The Mini-Skirt by Mary Quant made the list, and it’s got the Queen looking right at it. Gotta love Her Majesty.
I love this. Adore it.
Nobody noticed during the design process that that’s a dress, not a skirt? Nice stamps though.
They should have one for the font used, too, which looks like either a new digitization of Gill Sans with some alterations, or possibly p22 Johnson Underground, both of which are GREAT underrated classics of English design.
I hope they do a Police Box stamp.
