HP says it’ll produce a 3G-equipped version of the new Mini 2140 netbook in June. The lack thereof presents an irritating conundrum for netbook fans, as the 2140 is otherwise a delicious netbook. The report, from Taiwan’s DigiTimes, also indicates that HP is going to make an 11-inch model.
The 2140 has a 6-cell battery, a 10.1-inch display and an Atom CPU. It comes with Vista and 2GB of RAM: early reviews suggest a consequent downgrade to XP is wise.
