Free Popcorn – Sample of Orville Redenbacher Natural Gourmet Popping Corn. I think I want to name a son “Orville”. That was my great-grandfather’s name. [Bargainst]

Netbook – The snazzy MSI Wind U120 is on the Amazons for $380, which is only about $20 off MSRP, but this is a brand-new model. This was the one I was waiting on, but now I’m waiting on the VAIO P or the Asus with the tablet display. I look forward to the ones that I will be waiting for in lieu of those two next month. [Dealnews]

Linux Tablet – The Nokia N810 internet tablet is now $220, shipped. That’s quite a drop for this very tweak-friendly device. [Dealnews]

USB Flash Drive – SanDisk Cruzer Titanium 8GB for $18, shipped. Not cheap compared to generics, but cheap for this brand. [Dealnews]

MIDI Interface – The Tapco Link.MIDI 4×4 is a USB MIDI interface for Mac or PC with three XLR inputs, one XLR output, for $55, shipped. That’s about half-off. [Dealnews]

Bass Pro Sale – Bass Pro is having a sale on nearly everything. (Y’all.) [Dealnews]

Roomba – Today’s Woot is the iRobot Roomba 415 with Bonus Charging Dock and Filter Pack for $145, shipped. Comes with a self-charging base and extra filters for quite a bit less than the newer models.

    No link for the Link.MIDI?

    Okay, okay.
Ya got me with the 18.00 Titanium Cruzer Micro.

    I had a 20.00 credit with Buy.com anyway, so I’m pleased.
Stupid Aerospace metals. You KNOW I’m a sucker for ‘em.

I would avoid the LinkMIDI. I had one but had problems with it passing information correctly to my Access Virus. MIDIOX was showing it stripping certain bits from SysEx messages.
It was troublesome on both XP and Vista, even with the latest firmware update.
Sold it and got a MOTU 8×8 instead, no issues there. YMMV

I was wondering wat the picture of the Pixies/Breeders was doing there. Then it hit me. Morning deals. DEALs.
    Teehee. Funny.

I’ve been kicking myself since I passed up Best Buy’s $90 Wire Complete series. Every single day, I’ve thought about Prop Joe, which in turn ignited my hatred for Marlow. Out of fear for Snoop and Chris, I did not voice it… But now that the Sobotkas will be on bookshelf, I will rest comfortably.

My entire month of December was spent watching The Wire, and it looks like February will go much the same. To those who haven’t seen the glory of The Wire, I say this: you’re missing out on some of the finest, nay, the finest television to ever grace the small screen.

  6. Enochrewt says:

#5: Agreed. The Wire is one of the best shows ever made, and should get more recognition than it does. An added bonus is that it actually ties everything up really well, unlike every other serial show like this out there.

And fuck Marlow yo, Barksdale cru fo’ life.

Oh now I get it! Kim Deal…hahahaha

Has anybody found a definitive release date for the Asus tablet? I’ve been looking, but I haven’t seen anything reliable.

Actually, it has zero XLR inputs or outputs. MIDI uses DIN connectors. And if you look at the back of the unit, you’ll see three more outputs and one more input, bringing it to a total of 4 in and 4 out. Hence the “4×4″ model name.
