So I understand the perceived awesomeness of LCDs dropping to 0% this month – we’ve had the technology for a while, it’s just not that great now. But *stuff*?? Come on! That’s all you cover on this blog (besides the occasional LCD)! If you don’t perceive stuff to be awesome anymore, where does that leave us? With just the lasers?

I would say that stuff is only about 1/3 of what they cover (not counting LCDs). They mostly cover things (except in Joel’s naked video reviews).

What’s super cool about this graph is that both of the larger sizes show a roughly 50% drop every 18 months.

That percieved awesomeness jumps right back up again any time you are unfortunate enough to use a CRT.

I am thinking about how awesome it will be when I can actually carry my monitor with one arm. At the very least, I’ll have some more desk space available when I get rid of the CRT that I’ve been using for the last 10 years. It has definitely held up, that is true, but I’m getting ready to replace it with an Acer 21.5″ full HD monitor for about $200. Sure, I’ve waited about 2 years for this, but I think now is the time.
