This trailer, known as “The Ark”, is a sauna and hot tub built by Vernon Albert to be rented as a “mobile Roman bath”. He apparently had a hard time getting it insured. [via Kalle Hoffman's Sauna Building FAQ]

I wonder what sort of business licensing this thing requires.
I had a friend that wanted start a business that rented private-room hot tubs by the hour/night. She never got past the health department. I don’t understand why it’s that different from lounging in Motel 6′s jacuzzi when you stay there. I told her that perhaps “The Man” is more concerned that she’s opening a bath house or brothel.
Mobile saunas are not uncommon in the Nordic countries, met a Finnish guy who was riding a Goldwing towing one behind him.
(A Goldwing is a barge-like motorcycle)
When I was in college in Larmie, WY back in the late 80s there were several business in town that rented hot tubs on trailers, cost < $100 for 24 hours. They’d pull it in & park it, then you’d fill it up, have a party, they’d come back the next day & drain it & haul it away. Pretty cool, actually!
