Pitchfork has a leaked tracklist. I noticed a turntable in a hard case in the United lost luggage office at JFK last night that had three Prefuse 73 stickers on it. Guillermo Scott Herren, if you’ve lost a turntable, it’s there.

Beautiful. I can’t wait for this album… love me some Prefuse 73, hoping he cuts back on the guest slots a little bit and goes back to more glitchy stuff but either way it should be good.
Is that Roger Dean artwork? The logo looks Dean-ish.
Reminds me of the cover for Air’s 10,000Hz Legend, but I like this one quite a bit more.
The person depicted seems right out of “Cyborgs and Space” (1960) by Manfred E. Clynes and Nathan S. Kline. (Which was the allusion of the “augmented man hypothesis” in Season 2 Episode 11 of Mad Men “The Jet Set”.)
I saw this on pitchfork the other day, and also made the immediate “10,000Hz Legend” connection. This cover seems beautiful to me in a way I can’t really explain.
I’ve never listened to the band before, are they any good (yes, I know I probably should just google them for myself, but sometime it takes the right song to start liking a band)?
@4 Prefuse 73 is one guy. He mixes a really glitchy, IDM style of hip-hop, although it’s much more than that. Sometimes it’s RJD2, sometimes it’s Aphex Twin, most of the time it’s unique. One Word Extinguisher is the able to start with IMO. For specific tracks, try The Color of Tempo, Detchibe, One Word Extinguisher, Storm Returns, or Pentagram.
One small fix: One Word Extinguisher is the album to start with IMO.
Thanks Pork Musket, I’ll check it out when I get home.

Correction: “Caleb Sawyer. He has this optiman thesis. In addition to rockets, they’re going to start engineering man; you know, for travel in space: new organs, super-strength.”
