Samsung Lapfit secondary monitors are exact height of primary display

Samsung’s latest accessory is the Lapfit, a secondary monitor the exact height of your laptop’s display, and seems primarily aimed at the skin-peelingly obsessive compulsive, the sort of people who can only eat apples of a specific grammage and see the entire world overlaid with an invisible matrix of millimetric synchronicity which need must be obeyed. It comes in sizes of 19-inches and 22-inches, and while this is not the first product to be marketed specifically to the geo-spatially autistic, it is the first product to be marketed to them when two perfectly valid solutions for lining up your secondary monitor with your first — the laptop stand and your OS’ own display settings — already do the job.

There’s a totally awesome laptop type product in there somewhere. A laptop with a 2nd screen hinged so it can either be used as a tablet, or swung round and used as a 2nd display.

do you notice that the secondary display is off color! thats the problem with LCD displays! the color caliberation and gamma are different! thats why professional graphic artist never use LCD!

Actually, this is quite useful if you want to visualize stereo data in full resolution/refresh rate, either using the cross-eyed technique or using prismatic eyeglasses. Or you can just buy two identical monitors for your desktop, but this is more obsessive and more portable.
