USB hub in a Duplo brick
Miniaturization at work: "Stuffing things inside LEGO bricks" is the new "stuffing things inside of dead retro computers."
As a hand-made item at 123smile's Etsy store, it's not cheap: $50. 123Smile also offers other Lego hacks at similarly unnerving prices--check out these tiny 8GB thumbdrives.

Oh the Lego thumb drive is one of the greatest. You can take all your thumb drives and snap them together making them easier to find at the bottom of your laptop bag. Or make them into something that looks nice on your desk. "Yes dear, the wedding pictures are IN the left wall of the Lincoln Memorial"
AAAAAAAAAAAH! How many times? There is no 's' in Lego. Right, sorry about that. Sorry, sorry, as you were...
I'm not sure how to feel about this.....
@#2 you took my post! LEGO (tm)

Jeez Cory, you're a writer: you're supposed to care about the correct use of language!
I'm pretty sure Stephen Fry has got you beat there, Flashman ;)
The man might be a national treasure, but I'd hardly consider Stephen Fry to be any sort of authority on the English language.
Dang it little Johnny... how many times do I have to say it? Don't take things form daddies desk... Daddy needs those for his work.... ok, ok, I know your sorry, now lets go through your box of 10,000,000 blocks one more time...
Flashman, I'd hardly consider a company's decision on usage to be authoritative either. I love tweaking people on the beemer versus bimmer thing. (BMW motorcycles versus cars.) It's manufactured, so there's no right or wrong according to the language itself, right? Or does the LEGO corp write the rules?
how about:
ditch the USB plug entirely and put the contacts in the pegs on the lego brick.
Devices would have contacts on the bottom of their brick and would provide peg contacts on top for another device.
Stack as many bricks as you want on top of your PC :)
Curse'd Doctorow!
How did I know you would be chiming in with your plural blasphemy!!
/Nemesis (purely in matters of Lego pluralisation)
Also, I have to admit I didn't pick up on the offending 's', and still can't find it.. What were we talking about? :)
if you make your critical data look like a toy, don't get mad when junior feeds it to the family dog.
Another USB-device-in-a-something.
What is it with you guys and the USB devices that you find them so utterly irresistible?
It should be in the site FAQS: How to get on Boing Boing? Make a USB devise that looks like something else.
Another novelty toy, is what it is --- with a USB device in it.
It's not big, and its not clever.
Err... OK, so everyone agrees it's not actually big...
Tak, an excellent point!
Thad, what about an adult-toy with a usb device in it?
Huh huh, he said "dongle"..
I've had a zipzip USB drive for more than a year now. Also here.
