Steampunk airships in Lego

Reader Pixel's steampunk airship is the only way to travel. If you're a minifig, that is! [Pixel's flickr]

In similar vein, the Empire of Steam is a steampunk world-building exercise implemented entirely in Lego. Elephant-mounted missiles in the Boer War? Check.

The image you have up is actually my LEGO airship the HMAS Lord Vladek

And while Empire of steam is a very cool undertaking, my airship actually has nothing to do with it.

Actually, I actually need to use the word actually more in my comments.

Actually, I had sent a link to BB not too long ago about an actual contest over at http://www.reasonablyclever.com/
to actually build the biggest and best Steampunk Millennium Falcon out of actual LEGO, but they didn't actually post it.

Oh well.

I say, chaps, is that airship rated for Venus?

Ruddy Martian liftwood's rotting out of the old aetherflivver, what-oh. Damned scaly wogs can't get the ruddy bugs out of the caulking, and you can't find good old British tar & oakum anywhere on the bloody planet!

Anxiously awaiting your reply, I remain, yours, &etc.

Hello...

Been away with work and not checked online for a while. Only just seen your link to Empire of Steam

Thank you for featuring it. It's a little labour of love and constructive comments like yours make it feel worthwhile.
