Mood Wall

The Mood Wall, installed in an Amsterdam underpass, is 24 meters long and has 2,500 LEDs.

The Moodwall is located in a pedestrian tunnel and interacts with people passing by, improving the atmosphere in the tunnel and making people feel happier and safer. The interactive urban wallpaper is made from 2500 LEDs behind a ribbed semi-transparent wall. The curves in the wall make it less vulnerable to graffiti and improve visibility.

Designed by Jasper Klinkhamer of Studio Klink, Matthias Oostrik and Remco Wilcke of Cube, it's the pilot project for a 70-meter long version. [Dezeen]

Is this the bridge John Anderton was running under to meet up with his Clarity dealer in Minority Report?

I pass through a "mood tunnel" in the Detroit airport every time I fly home, and it never seems to make me feel any happier or safer. How about you guys?

MP3, I logged on just to draw the similarity between this and the Detroit tunnel. I, for one, never fail to be uplifted just the tiniest bit. Honestly, the first time I saw it I couldn't wipe the smile off my face

Of course, it would help if the tunnel wasn't so damn long and my connections weren't ten minutes apart, but that's no fault of the wall.

Three posts, and nobody's made the connection between Amsterdam and pretty, moving colors?

I'm disappointed.

Try this same sort of concept, only in a vehicle tunnel. I took a shot of this one in San Antonio, Texas, near the Alamo:

I'm with you, Kaosmonkey.

The kid loves it too, which helps with the whole fiasco that is airline travel + infant.
