Direct from Hasbro - $13. From just about anywhere else, $25-$35. Ebay listings tout 'rare, hard to find'. Wonder where the disparaty comes in - are stores not ordering enough, and raising prices to meet 'demand', or is Hasbro playing with availability?

Is it just me, or does the hilt on that look like the Master Sword?

Just join your local Amtgard group and we'll teach you how to make your own sword for about $5 to $10 worth of materials. Hell, we'll teach you how to make that and a whole lot of other medieval weapons. Yes you too can be like a Jedi and make your own damn weapons!! And when you're done making your weapons, you'll have a whole park full of people to fight every weekend with. lol

@PUPDOG
I picked one up at Target for something like $15.
My coworker felt obliged to get another the next day for self defense.

Yeah, those look fun, but boffers in general are super easy and cheap to make, and you can make them in whatever size you want. Bring on the claymore!
You can easily make a couple super hella ultra ghetto cheap boffers, less than two dollars apiece, with a couple lengths of bamboo you can steal off someone's lawn most anywhere (it grows back fast, don't worry) a dollar-store pool noodle and a little bit of duct tape to hold it together. No fancy master sword handle, but electrician's friction tape makes for some super cheap and good quality grip tape.
That said, we like fighting best full-contact with shinai and scavenged lacrosse gear with shinpads on our forearms. More hardcore than that, you can go all out SCA style, which is with big heavy rattan sticks and full armor. Most folks make their own equipment and everything.
Make your own weapons, it's fun!

Funny, I thought Thunderfury required both the left and right Bindings of the Windseeker, each of which has a .1% drop rate, the Essence of the Firelord, from Ragnaros, lord of fire, all of which were obtained in the "Molten Core" of a volcano. Oh, and it also requires 10 ingots of Elementium, a rare and legendary material.
Of course, that was in vanilla World of Warcraft. I wish I could have gotten it for 15 bucks.
