These NERF cannons can not be

nerfgameguns.jpg

Weston Boege created these concept NERF N-Force guns for an upcoming NERF-branded game for the Nintendo Wii. They’ll never be real, but we can still dream about a NERF bazooka that shoots a single, giant round into the faces of small children. [via Core77]

TJ S: Aqua-Net was my propellant of choice, but I learned the very-nearly-hard-way of the difference between a conflagration and a deflagration when a PVC schedule 80 ‘foomp’ tank on a potato gun reached critical failure due to heat stress.

The addition of some ‘secret ingredients’ of my own choosing to the tank to, uh, ensure thorough oxidation of the fuel probably didn’t help.

To my eye, those look really similar to Unreal Tournament weapons… especially that three-barreled rocket launcher up top.

    pfffffffffffffft

  4. Jarvik7 says:

This game just encourages real life Nerf violence. Where is Jack Thompson when you need him? Think of the children.

@SCUBA SM: I’m so glad I’m not the only who thought that.

  6. Enochrewt says:

#9: I was thinking Nerf as designed by CliffyB and Epic.

(Almost) edit: And then I read #10′s post. yeah.

  7. Marcel says:

    Why not make em?!

After all, it’s not the NERF who’s responsible. It’s the kid that pulls the trigger.

There is a Nerf bazooka sort of.

My 12 year old cousin has one. The round is pretty big and the thing pumps up like a super soaker. I remember thinking it was a delightfully bad idea when I bought it for him.

  10. zuzu says:

Am I the only one who thinks these look like they were designed by Caterpillar?

(Maybe it’s just the “construction yellow” color scheme.)

  11. bardfinn says:

Ryu: It doesn’t propel a Nerf basketball / dodgeball a minimum of fifty feet, though, does it?

Must. Not. Compress. Air. In. PVC …

I’ve got a stack of Ultimators left over from my days @ 3DO. They are shoulder-launched bazooka rounds of a nerflike nature:

    @4:

(I absolve myself of all responsibility for what I’m about to say)

A mini-vortex football (no whistles) fits PERFECTLY into a 2″ diameter ABS pipe, commonly used to build potato guns.

    That is all.

PS – I used to get 12+ seconds of hang time when firing straight up, used Brut spray deodorant as propellant.

  15. Oddball says:

Ummm.. this “upcoming” game has been out since October. I’ve been tempted to pick it up for the nerf gun/controller alone.

  16. Halloween Jack says:

Yeah, they’ll never make these, because if they did I’d buy ‘em all and recruit my younger cousins into my Merciless Grim Meathook Nerf Army.

    And we can’t have that.

    HINT, HINT
