Novatel’s latest 3G USB stick gets a theoretical 7.2 Mbps on European HSPA networks. it’s less than a centimeter thick, according to the blurb, and will be available this summer.

I’ve got a Vodaphone 3G dongle that looks just like that and I’ve had it for a while. Haven’t devices like this been around for some time now or am I missing something?
It’s a new product and it appears to be a bit smaller than others of it’s type, or so it seems.
That kind of stuff is noteworthy.
I like the thought of being able to install this or something similar internally as part of modifying a laptop or netboo..er…mini notebook.
@Strider:
Some of the netbooks are going to have SIM slots built in, which would be even better. In practice, the fact that my Voda one sticks out the side of my netbook is a bit annoying.
“Less than a centimetre thick” doesn’t really sound that impressive. My everyday thumb drive is 0.4 cm thick, and all of the 3g USB modems I’ve already used would be less than a centimetre thick.
I cannot but stare that oxidized usb-plug part: should it look like it has been recently fished out from sunken 1500′s Spanish galleon?
