This was a box I built as a commission to hold “an IPod and 32 CDs.” The outer box is walnut, the inner three are pearwood. All four boxes are dovetailed, and the lid is frame-and-panel. I made the insert for the iPod itself removable. You know, just in case Apple ever changes the design. Not that it ever will.

That’s pretty sexy – even if it highlights its’ own redundancy with the included MP3 player slot.
I’d like to have a stacked version, as a set of drawers… but with one of them being the electronics drawer – for your phone, ipod etc, with the chargers set in place and connected to source power via the rear. Store ‘n’ charge.
That would be ace.
Great..
A wooden box which houses an iPod and the CD versions of .01% of its content.
I like that a lot but why would anyone want to store “an IPod and 32 CDs” in the same box?
My wife is learning to build furniture, and I commissioned a stero cabinet for with built in storage for records. This post made me want to show it off:

This link is to a picasaweb gallery of the cabinet. Honest, no rickroll or anything.
