Socked glowing crystals create surprisingly un-blingy ceiling lamps

This is the most indulgent yet elegantly beautiful room lighting design I've seen in a while--it's a series of hanging mesh sacks of varying lengths with Swarovski crystals in them. The creators are actually longtime chandelier designers Diller Scofidio + Renfro--they presented this at a Miami design show last winter. [via Yanko Design]

Wow. These could classy up my trailer hitch.
4th one from the left in the middle. That's a scrote for sure.
They look like glowing ball sacks. There. I said it.
Now my ballsack is feeling inadequate and un-blingy.
They look like shattered vodka bottles inside that netting that oranges come in.
Can they be any brand of crystals? Or do they have to be the sickeningly over-hyped Swarovski brand?
I wonder if it would be better with a couple of high output leds (white)?
