I’m honestly surprised that nobody has come out with a cell phone that closely mimics the communicator. It seems like a natural fit. The early Nextel phones looked like they were influenced by them, and the Motorola logos were a bit like the Starfleet emblem, but nothing that I know of has used the perforated metal look on the flip. Somebody should!

We bought one of the Hallmark Communicator ornaments that were offered last year, and I have to say we’ve kept the thing out it’s so cool.

    Peace and long life.
