Pow! Biff! Bang!: brass knuckle handlebars
Whatever you do, don't tell the builder of this custom track bike that fixed gears are the new trucker caps.

Good luck with a speedy exit, your fingers intertwined with handlebars.
Combine these with clip-in shoes for complete doom.

These are dumb.
Clip-in shoes are not dangerous at all if you adjust them properly.

Breaking eight fingers at once sounds like a blast.

This reminds me of something I saw somewhere where a motorcycle rider was talking about having a suicide shifter[1] on his bike with a set of brass knuckles as the knob.
He was pulled over and hassled by a cop because brass knuckles were illegal in his state. He then explained to the cop "They're welded on the shifter, so I'd have to punch the guy with my entire bike. At which point the brass knuckles are the least of his problems."
The cop let him go.
[1]shift lever sicking up that is shifted by hand, rather than shifting with your foot.

Actually the keffiyeh is the new trucker cap. Fixed gear's are the new longboards.

#12 FTW. A rider on a fixie wearing a keffiyeh - all too common in LA.

ALL fixie riders should be required to use these.

am i the only one who thinks these are slip ons? i've been looking at these things doing the rounds and it looks to me like the copper caps are part of a tube that come off of the handlebars. it's still a stupid idea, but i think they're meant to be weapons.

If that's the case, I'm all for them. Motorbikes or pushers, all of us on two wheels need every possible advantage for survival.
