Print your photos on a shower curtain

PhotoShowerCurtain.com will print your photo on shower curtains for $150 - $200, depending on size, using a dye sublimation process that they promise won't fade or crack. You can even machine launder them—or, you know, wash them in the shower.
A nice way to sauce up a bathroom, for sure. I'd suggest using a picture of you naked in the shower. [via Red Ferret]

I'd prefer a picture of Janet Leigh naked in the shower.

They won't accept obscene or vulgar images, making the service virtually useless. (What?)

I wonder whom it matters to that they wouldn't allow vulgar images. LOL, it's not like they are hanging the finished product in a storefront window! Would it be considered on the job harrassment if you have to process such an image???
Still, the possibilities are pretty awesome if you can reproduce your own artwork!

Thankfully. Vinyl shower curtains are disgusting in every way possible (for a shower curtain).

I wonder how difficult it would be to make a shower curtain that works like a MAD magazine Al Jaffee fold-in...

I found the idea pretty cool until I saw the pricing -- 200 $ for a shower curtain…?!? Uhm, no thanks…

However, I don't see how polyester poplin is better than vinyl; no fossil feedstock and much easier to print, sure, but on the face of it less durable, colorfast, antiseptic. Sexy testing lab services to the rescue....

I think this is interesting. I wonder how the photo holds up after washing? People do not understand the production costs . The pricing is fair considering how expensive the equipment must be to produce a 6ft.x6ft image. Its more expensive than my hand painted, cotton shower curtains but then I don't have the expense of the equipment and I don't offer porno images either.
