U.S. Air Force Vapor Cars

As part of a recruitment program, the Air Force paid Galpin Auto Sports to make over a Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang with military-inspired cladding, ending up with something that looks like it's out of Interstate '76 or The Road Warrior.

I hate muscle cars, and I hate military hardware lovers...
So why do I LOVE this SO MUCH?
Probably because it looks like an as-yet-unimagined Batmobile...

I take it the whole "this is the Air Force and it's intense and there's these big aircraft carriers and oh yeah here comes the motherlovin' GUITAR SOLO YEAH" campaign didn't pan out as intended?
So now, instead of showing romanticized versions of Air Force reality, they've opted for pure fantasy?
Of course, this does not change the fact that those designs are badass.

Everything except the vertical doors. As the haters so aptly put it:
"Lambo doors: so overdone even Lamborghini doesn't use them."

It looks great on the outside, but the interior is lame. Also as Dculberson said, vertical doors are so boring these days.

As if the money being spent all over the world by the US Tax Payer isn't enough - the USAir Force builds a damn car! This has got to be one of the most stupid "investments" our military has yet shown the world. It is absolutely insulting when everyone across this globe is struggling to eat and pay our rent that they would squander military money on such childish toys.
