Stripping the essence of duckness down to its first principle, the Robot Duck Kit waddles on giant yellow feet. It does not, however, appear to quack. The price is $17 at Amazon. [via Red Ferret]

I like it!
I bought one of these as a Winter Solstice gift for a friend’s kid last year; it’s really cute. If you buy one, however, be sure you load it up with an alkaline battery and not a NiCd or similar; 1.2V couldn’t overcome the transmission’s friction, but the 1.5V from the alkaline worked just fine.
Ceci n’est pas un canard.
If it doesn’t look like a duck and doesn’t quack like a duck, it probably isn’t a duck?
I don’t know, I feel like a bill is an essential part of duckness.
