Is this another Eten device that Pharos is rebranding? My last (and only) Eten phone was both awesome and shit. Great design with incredibly buggy software.
This actually looks like a nice phone and $600 off contract is not that bad. Too bad about Windows Mobile though. The specs would be great for Android.
Not to go off topic but it would be interesting if someone managed to port the iPhone software, a’la OSX86, to commodity phone hardware. Obviously it would much harder than just downloading an ISO and slapping it into a Dell.
I think someone missed all the specs
Phone: unlocked GSM quad band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, EDGE / GPRS,
it certainly does have 850 MHZ
I have the Pharos 127 with Qwerty keyboard and use AT&T and have awesome 3G service all over the US, Canada, MX while I am traveling. I am looking forward to me trip to Europe to us it there.
It would appear to me the PTL137 is a MS Windows version of the iPhone. And I hear that T-Moible is offering up to $300 in rebates.
Cheers
It doesn’t have 850Mhz 3G which is what most of the AT&T network uses for 3G, the 1900 stuff isn’t being expanded which means most of the time you won’t have 3G if your using it on AT&T. That kinda ruins an otherwise awesome looking device, well that and no real keyboard.
