Mojo Workin's One-Wheeled Baby Stroller

mojoworkinunistrol.jpg

I'd have to use one in real life before I dropped $475 on a one-wheeled stroller, but even if it's not as practical as its creator claims, the one-of-a-kind unit has a neat design. I bet that black plastic shell gets hot on little legs, though.

IT IS MADE WITH A STYROFOAM INNER GIVING IT VERY LITTLE WEIGHT. IT IS COVERED WITH A LEADFREE PLASTICIZED COATING THAT IS UV STABLE AND NON TOXIC. THIS COATING GIVES IT INCREDIBLE STRENGTH AND DURABILITY. IT RIDES ON A SINGLE 10" INFLATABLE TIRE. THIS SINGLE TIRE GIVES THE STROLLER UNMATCHED MANUVERABILITY AND THE ABILITY TO TRANSVERSE ALL TYPES OF TERRAIN. THIS ITEM IS VERY STABLE AND CAN NOT TOPPLE WHILE MOVING.
ALL CAPS MEANS QUALITY. [VIA CORE77]

That would be the envy of every graphic-designer couple with kids in Park Slope.

it isn't going to sell because people like to pretend to rock the baby by passively pushing the stroller back and forth. This is an Active Lift and push design.

A baby carriage is not just about getting the baby from point A to point B. Besides, Strollers are more like Shopping Carts these days, because it isn't about the baby as much as everything else the parent needs and what the parent thinks the baby needs. Minimalism is a no go on the rugrats.

Just put the kid on a cushion in a wheelbarrow and call it a day. The tire's solid rubber too, so no inflating!

I'm thinking the designer has never used a wheelbarrow. If they had the would have realized what a bad idea this is. I bet this would flip on it's side just as easily as a wheelbarrow does, which is a pain when it's filled with mulch but much worse when it's a baby. I know it says it's very stable and can't topple but it sure doesn't look that way.

"CAN NOT TOPPLE WHILE MOVING" - that's because you're holding it up. Just don't let go, whatever you do.

Naw, just mod one of those Dyson vacuums with the ball on the bottom.

Or rather, it cannot move without toppling.

Hey, but since it cannot move unless you physically lift and move it actively, it avoids those embarassing Battleship Potemkin moments. (Or DePalmas Untouchables, for those who take their culture second hand)
