Interesting (re)use for an old floppy, more gag factor than anything, since it wouldn’t be as compact to carry about.

There are some old schoolers out there that may just find this amusing! I know I did!

Yes,it looks nice, but does the spring-loaded door slide over?

  4. Rickyneck says:

I just punched myself in the face. And it feels better than seeing a floppy ‘in use’ again.

It would be super cool if they had a mating drive it went into, and the metal door slid aside to reveal the USB contacts, and .. and .. oh, wait. It is cute, though. I hope it’s really large capacity to make up for the size.

That laptop it’s plugged into looks pretty retro, too. I think it’s a Dell from about 6 years ago.

  6. ClaMs says:

    Meh! This is silly.
Now I’ll stuff a USB drive up a chicken’s butt and call it a USB chicken.

  7. Rusty Bill says:

Um… is that a single density, double density or high density floppy?

…Otay, really impress me. Achieve this stunt with a 5.25″ floppy!
