Available soon, budget HDTV maker Vizio will soon be selling televisions that can stream internet content, including Netfli, Amazon, Showtime, Yahoo widgets, and more. But check out that snazzy slide-out QWERTY keyboard!

As Vizio continues to innovate like this, I wonder: How long until their perception in the market sheds the "budget" tag they've so long borne to sit alongside Samsung and Sony?

Conversely, this sort of risk-taking is something all too lacking in the see-we're-just-as-good-as-them world of "budget" lines.

VIZIO TV's always look like they are too Red in color. Seeing as how I watch a lot of football, this gets annoying...
Netflix built in sounds pretty sweet, though...

This is really cool and the way things are going there will soon be a hub that does anything and everything in place of the tv, stereo, pc, game console.

Eattrn, I think that thing already exists, and it IS the PC.

/me doesn't want some super hub where the mechanics are abstracted away behind some corporate interface where I trade control for content.
