Mini-USB? I thought the new standard was microUSB.
Oh well, if it is released by the time my current contract ends, it may be a new contender for my next phone. Currently it's Hero or Pre.

I'm now becoming convinced google is just trying to spite me...
There have been untold amounts of very-nice HTC handsets with slide-out-keyboards released in the the past decade, why can't they put android on one of them? (for that matter, ANY of them)
Still i'm left with the choice of (for a slide-out keyboard type) nice-hardware + win mobile or ugly hardware + android.
And they still keep taunting me with android on keyboardless-handsets!
GAAAAH
Google/HTC, are you TRYING to force me to buy an iPhone against my will or something?
I love the idea of Android, but for the love of god put it in a nice handset for f**ks sake :)
At this rate i'm going to end up with a palm-pre by default, not by choice

God, if this thing comes out within the next 4 years at a reasonable price, it would be ridiculous!

HTC's first Android phone is called the G1, and it features a slide out keyboard. It's a rather neat design. It's a bit older, but still a very nice phone.
As for this new, it looks like a great phone, but I'd miss having the trackball that I have on the HTC magic. I do quite like the trackball, even if I haven't found a really good use for it yet. ;)
