Taser shotguns: mine shall be in green

O’er the front door, Xeni spots the forthcoming release of an elecrifying shotgun from Taser International. Beats that old BB that I always wanted, that’s for sure!

   As far as I can tell, the X3 rounds are meant to be compatible with most existing 12G shotguns, so a double barrel version certainly seems plausible.

   I’m currently torn between thinking this is Taser International having fun trying to make their weapons look more fearsome, or responsibly trying to make potentially lethal devices actually look potentially lethal.

   Personally, I would have photoshopped the round coming from the middle of the barrel. Possibly also to scale.

   That’s it. I need a Batman suit.

   Imagine catching that round in the eye. or crotch or pretty much anywhere. Not exactly the kinder gentler baton to the head that our peaceful protesters have come to know and love.

   This really blurs the lines of “non-lethal” weaponry even farther than they’ve already been warped.

   Hopefully these won’t be issued to anyone who doesn’t respect that they’re non-lethal but not non-dangerous.

   You do not point a firearm at anything that you are not prepared and willing to kill by pulling the trigger, even if the rounds are “non-lethal”. I wouldn’t want these being used on any individual against whom lethal force would not be considered a possibility.

   I’m also surprised that the bad ‘shop wasn’t commented on earlier. It sticks out like a sore thumb ferchrissake.
