This is surely one of the best bits of science humour I have seen in years. As an oft-mocked reader of the science tabloid being referenced, I found this absolutely spot-on.
But I feel I must defend the science tabloid. Even if you're a working scientist, there's simply too much being published these days for anyone to keep up with in other fields beside your own speciality.
If you're not a scientist, this is one way to keep up with science without having to spend days trawling through dense jargon.
