I can't actually find the original for this -- anyone?

This is surely one of the best bits of science humour I have seen in years. As an oft-mocked reader of the science tabloid being referenced, I found this absolutely spot-on.

Originally by Stephen Collins at www.collinscomics.com ? At least that's what new scientist tweeted to me : http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZFICcYW_Jrw/SkzXFsB69OI/AAAAAAAABP4/_gsq2TcF4F0/s1600-h/020709.jpg

Well, thanks anon2, there goes my weekend.

That's funny.

But I feel I must defend the science tabloid. Even if you're a working scientist, there's simply too much being published these days for anyone to keep up with in other fields beside your own speciality.

If you're not a scientist, this is one way to keep up with science without having to spend days trawling through dense jargon.

Science for the masses - it's a good thing.

But it's true!!! Google is trying to make the Earth sentient.

(Secretly, I hope the succeed.)
