Doh! hope ATT is able to get the word out that it’s because of a botnet DDOS that they can only stop by hard-coding a block to the botnet’s target: 4chan.
Seems like if that message isn’t put out, 4chan’s easily rallied ‘legion’ will go scientologist on their asses… cept in this case, scientology doesnt own the internet. hrm.
oh, and oddly enough, this posts’ capthca was “near paeans”. irony.
This deserves to be on the BB mainpage.
I don’t even like 4chan, but AT&T deciding they’re going to start filtering what its customers can and can’t access is a really big deal.
People need to spread this news around and stand up to it powerfully.
I’m an AT&T customer in San Francisco and I didn’t have any problem visiting any of the 4chan subdomains domains listed.
Even just for fun I tried on my iPhone (AT&T 3g) and got through just fine there as well.
Sounds like a usual 4chan stunt to me.
