    I agree with you both but it is very cool still. I think I would prefer it in silver.

    Maybe it’s the masculine coat, or the color, but it looks more like a belt to me. Still cool.

    I think it’s also the fact that there are bolts at regular intervals to affix it to the wall … recalling beltholes.

    It’s missing the lateral texture of a ribbon, at least in this picture. More movement and more color would get the idea across a bit better I think.
