Laptop sleeve disguised as a newspaper

Protect your laptop from thieves’ attention by wrapping it in a foreign language newspaper. Or, perhaps, a bag designed to resemble a foreign-language newspaper. There are 5 mastheads to choose from. Unlike the Saddleback, this looks like one you’ll need to see in real life.

Sir, I can’t believe that you missed the obvious Grauniad joke here. I shall have to make it instead at Gadget Lab.

This is a clever idea and you could make it yourself if you were so inclined.

I noticed that the newspapers names tended to be jarringly misspelt (“Le Pais”, “Herold Tribune”), presumably for trademark reasons.

If the real newspapers are struggling for revenue, with print sales declining, why don’t they start selling their own laptop covers with actual editions printed on them?

Yay, great against theft. When someone grabs it and makes a run for it, what will you yell?

“Hey! Stop that guy with the … uhm .. newspaper!”

    Or

“Hey! That guy stole my Mac! Stop him!”
    “Which guy?”
“Well that one with the newspaper, dumbwit!”

  5. xsuperstore says:
