Plan B Fotokopierer: Turn an Expensive Copier into a Cheap Camera

fotokopierer.jpg

The result of what appears to be some sort of student design project, the "Plan B Fotokopierer" is an accordianesque lens that clips to the scanning platform of a standard office-grade photocopier, turning it into the world's largest (and crappiest) Polaroid. At the least, it'll allow office pranksters to take candid shots of their anuses without risking a fall through a shattering plate of glass.

I have always loved the idea of copy machines as large-format camera. The lens is a little too low-fi for my taste, but if you’re doing copy art, you’re up for a different-than-usual aesthetic. Now they need to post DIY instructions.

This gives me an idea for what to do with that enormous Microtek “scuzzy” scanner that I bought over 10 years ago, and haven’t used in about 8. Now, I just have to find an old PC to shove the SCSI card into…

I wonder where I put that CD-ROM that had the drivers on it??…
