The Givori Nefertiti... because the ugliest phone in the world is worth paying a premium

This is Givori's newest and most hideous bling-encrusted luxury phone, the Nefertiti. It's 24 carat gold dipped in glue and rolled in Swarovski crystals. It looks exactly like a mobile phone coated in globulous ambergris and ripped from the festering bowels of a sperm whale. Needless to say, you can only buy this in luxury stores in Dubai, and it costs almost $4500 to look this tasteless.

  1. This is hilarious. Either decorated by low-paid workers with a sour eye on the eventual clients, or designed and implemented by a sharp-witted artist who laughed all the way to the bank.

I vom, not once, but twice, at this. Stand ye back from the stream.

  2. Damn, I thought those were barnacles growing on a phone at first!

Which, come to think of it, would be cooler than what it really is.

  3. Ugg. Just… ugg. Like… ugg… totally… ugg.

I want to create a company called: Throw Your Money Down a Hole For Nothing, Inc. Apparently, there’s a real need for that kind of company out there in the world.

  4. Good lord, some of the previous “luxury” phones were unattractive, but this one is so aggressively ugly that it feels like the phone is actively trying to hurt me.

  5. I’m pretty sure that is Capt. Nemo’s mobile.
If it really cost $5 I would get one. Ok not really but only because I don’t have the full bread required to carry the look off.

  6. I have noticed this trend before. Obscenely rich Donald Trump was on 60 Minutes a while back and they took a tour of his Manhattan condo. It had to be the ugliest decorating job I have ever seen. I have noticed this with homes of other zillionares as well.

As an uncultured worker bee, perhaps I am not qualified to comment on the decorating tastes of the hoi-polloi, but I know what I like, and I do not like this phone.

  7. Can cell phone batteries leak like eg AA cells? Because that was the first thing I thought when I saw this, the second was “fungus?”.

  8. Hmmm….I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I personally quite fancy this phone and I don’t agree with the comments posted above. The more bling the better as far as I am concerned. Plus it has some true vintage pieces from the 1930’s on it. The design is inspired by Nefertiti the great queen of the pharaoh. If people are spending thousands blinging their teeth with diamonds, i would surely pay $4500 for this phone.
