Laptop Magazine has gotten a sneak peak at the new Asus Eee 1000HE and the new chiclet style keyboard is a great success, allowing the reviewer to rattle off over 83 words per minute, plucking gingerly down on the right shift key without a moment's retraining. A usable keyboard coupled with a 9.5 hour battery? This is the new netbook to beat.

  1. I’m wondering how long it will be for this sucker to run OS X. A small speedbump and a good keyboard would convince me to buy this sucker if I can run OS X on it.

Still holding out for the Ion version. Even an upclocked GMA945 is crap for an integrated GPU.

    Still: Progress!
